With its figured maple top, Birdseye maple neck and gold hardware, the Washburn Nuno Bettencourt Nele Deluxe is all show, but it’s a guitar that’s made to rock. The Nele is the latest collaboration between Nuno Bettencourt and Washburn. Players will love the playability of this guitar with its fast neck, extended cutaway design and 22-fret fingerboard. It also produces a great tone, thanks to the Seymour Duncan Vintage Stack in the neck position and a Bill Lawrence L-250 pickup in the bridge position. The sonic range of these pickups is taken up a few notches with the 6-tone mod that’s standard on the Nele. The 6-way “Freeway Ultra” switch gives players access to the three common settings and then three additional hot-rod options. Each Washburn Nele is custom-built in the Washburn USA custom shop.
